I did it for a few seasons years ago. Mostly in Cowichan bay before all the bird watchers, dog walkers. Lots of fun, but unfortunately I couldn't enjoy eating them. Mostly Pintails and Mallards. Learnt pretty quick not shoot Buffleheads and Goldeneye. Never did get a goose. They were smart enough to stay too high out of range during shooting hours. Sold off all my kit.
Chasing big Canada geese is an addiction for me. Here in Manitoba we have tons of opportunities to waterfowl hunt...especially were I live in pothole country. Turn a lot of the geese into garlic sausage and pepperettes .....very tasty.
