Seems I'll be on the Sunshine Coast late Feb/early March. Thought is to spend a few days in Tuwanek, a few in Madeira Park and then a few in Powell River. Haven't been up in years and when I did go in the winter it was crabbing and a good book. Earliest I ever fished the Powell Lake Chain was April but that was decades ago.
Lakes vs. beach cutties or both? Thought is if I take the boat it's the Burb but if I can beach fish it's the Micra. Three to one, fuel wise.
Not looking for spots (though I'll take them) but rather an idea of if it's worth bringing the boat.
beautiful day here today, snow and ice this morning but sunny and 10 degrees now. I'm going to try to hit Lois on Friday (Mar,3rd). Did a little beach fishing last Friday, nothing moving but a couple of seals.
