The Family and I are heading to Pacific Playgrounds. It will be our first time staying there and the girls are excited about the beach and the pool, as well as meeting other kids to play with. I am leaving the boat at home, but and planning on bringing the bike and fishing the Oyster and the Beach for Sea Runs in the early mornings and then will be hanging with the Family the rest of the day. If anyone is around would be happy to meet up, and anyone is also welcome to stop by and have a beer or whisky.
Well I survived the Long weekend with the family, and had no issues with vehicles and tent trailer. Although I brought some fishing gear it stayed in the car the whole trip, as I never really had a good opportunity to sneak way with out feeling guilty. I planned to sneak out at sun up for a few hours but our youngest daughter also decided it was a good time to wake up so one of us took her to the playground or entertained her and the other stayed in or around the trailer as our other daughter slept.
When we first arrived at Pacific Playgrounds, the place was an absolute zoo, with people, kids, bikes and vehicles everywhere, and I definitely was not impressed. Also the site we picked online wasn`t what I imagined, and with cars parked everywhere was a bit of a challenge to back the trailer up. I am use to camping at government campgrounds with a little more room and separation from your neighbors, than what was provided at Pacific Playgrounds.
After I got over the initial shock of what I called the Zoo, and we started to explore I got over the tightness as the pool, playgrounds, fields, and beach where pretty good and the kids were very much entertained and had a good time. It was really nice getting to camp with both power and water for my first time. Overall it was a good weekend, and the wife and kids want to go back again.
Yeah, great campsite if you don't mind the social aspect of being close to your neighbors. We had a site next to my parents so we were able to share the sites and it worked well. We stay at the back corner by the cabins and the pool, best area as its close to the river and beach access
