Looking for feedback for this years Spring Fishout. Through discussions at last years event, we were planning on holding over the May Long weekend and wanted to continue this fish in as a family oriented event. I think that my Family is interested in going back to Horne Lake, and some of the others enjoyed the campsite and lake, although the fishing wasn't great. With a 3 day weekend this year, hopefully we can organize more fishing in and hit the river and Spider lake.
With that said we are open to ideas for location and dates.
So many great little recreational sites on small lakes not far from Campbell River. Unfortunately it's hard to set plans on getting one. Elk Falls may be reservable and is within striking range of a few lakes, including Reginald, Beavertail. Some good SR Cutthroat beaches and there might even be a river around there somewhere.

I think as long as the south guys are good with going North that would work but it would be cool to head south also as I have very limited experience down south. Where ever we go it will be great people and food, I'm in
I had a great time at Horne it was fun to have the cave option aswell as the lake side camping. The cow would be a good time as well .there is a group site called horseshoe bend that may still be open to reserve but not sure. There is a group site at stoltz pool near the boat launch that has a huge covered cooking area / social spot.its on the river and away from the campsite.the only thing I can see with being at the river is less family interaction, with guys walking and drifting the river and not as friendly water for little kids.
