I am thinking tonight as I'm wrapping thread on my new 10 wt. Who is interested in a Chinook fishing trip? I am thinking it will be a floating craft, I will use my kayak and was thinking somewhere from Big Q to French Creek as the Chinook are staging. Should be a fun time if we find some fish. It's a bit early to nail down a date but I'd be interested in hearing who would be interested and possibly some approximate dates. Cheers

I'd love to go out! Not sure I have a boat I can use, but maybe. It probably depends on location. I would be more than happy to pay gas if someone else had a boat. What's general timing for this? Mid August?
3rd week of August they r at the river mouth of the little q. I have put my one man zodiac in with my electric motor on it, never caught them trolling or casting from the boat but caught them right at river mouth by walk and wade
Hey, so for the folks interested, how does the third weekend of August look? I've penciled it in (August 18) just so I've got it on my radar. What's gonna work best for people's schedules and timing with fish? I'd be interested in maybe combining salmon fishing with some ling hunting and I plan on bringing my kayak.

Family and I are at Pacific Playgrounds from Aug. 18-24. Won't be bringing a boat, but plan to fish the beach most mornings.
I'm down, got 2 kayaks and a pontoon boat, lil q estuary will start showing fish any day! Getting some nasty weather this weekend should get them stirring up.

So looking at the tides I think this is the best day possible with hi tide at 1:10pm and lo tide at 6:19am. The following weekend has hi tide at 4-5 am and I think we would be best to hit this up on the incoming tides. Let's see who is good with the 18th of August.

I just layed down the first coat of epoxy on my 10wt after a wipe down and one of the ferrule wrap coming undone, very frustrating. Hope to get the 2nd coat on tomorrow morning and then the hunt is on for a 10wt line. Any takers on this trip next weekend?

So has anyone seen any chinook movement around the beaches? The Q's ? Think we may be a few weeks early as the punks are still not here in #'s yet. Want to plan a date that is gonna produce some fish. Who may have a chance to stop by the Whiskey Creek pool for a look?
