Good news for those who fish Elk, bad for those who fish Quamichan. When I lived in Victoria, I had rowers run over my lines a couple times, usually ending in a snapped tippet. They try not to, but they're working hard, going fast, looking backwards, and quiet. It just doesn't mix well with indicator rigs.

Lots of people fish Quamichan so it will be a tough one, those types never seem to care about the fishermen. Prime example was the last time I tried to fish Brannen Lake, jet skiers I swear were trying to swamp me. I gave up pretty quick and left
When I wasn't playing hockey I was rowing. Rowers hate jetskiers too, they really do.
They hate everybody. They have expensive lawyers and friends in high places. Expect blanket closures of the lake when "royalty" wants it. Even while practicing, they don't always watch where they are going. I have been run down while wading in the Gorge waterway for trout.
